It looks like chicken..

It smells like chicken..

It tastes like chicken..?

It must BE chicken?!

Sometimes it’s a simple decision to become the thing you want to be. I remember when I ‘became’ a nurse. It wasn’t when I officially passed my NCLEX-RN exam. It wasn’t when I officially got my first job as a ‘nurse’. And it wasn’t when someone called me a ‘nurse’.

It’s when I decided to start acting like a nurse.

I accepted my responsibilities.

I met my challenges head on.

I adapted and overcame each obstacle as I met them.

I dressed the part.

I walked the walk.

I talked the talk.

I damn well sure defended my participation in becoming the part.

And I began to ‘feel’ like a nurse
