We are Responsible for what We Do, No Matter how We Feel
Posted by Sean on December 11, 2008
“Well, I was having a bad day”
“I wasn’t feeling well”
“It was so-and-so’s fault for upsetting me”
We all have this uncanny ability to rationalize bad behavior, bad attitudes, and the ugliness that we ALL some times possess.
The truth? Transference is a funny thing.
Your feelings are YOUR feelings. How does that make it someone else’s responsibility if your feelings are amiss?
Paint in any color you like, point as many fingers as you like, but in the end we reap what we sow.
The next time you’re having one of those ‘moments’ or one of those ‘days’ do your best to ‘think outside the box’.
Are your feelings being responsible for what you do?
Carpe Diem

Easier said than done but I do try HARD to think outside the box. Great points.

Very good point Strong One. I am guilty of doing this too but when I’ve had a chance to reflect I do usually apologise and accept the responsibility.
