So.. I’m in the Shower..
Posted by Sean on January 13, 2009
I’ve come to the realization that all my great ideas flash before me while I’m in the shower. It seems that’s when my creative juices are flowing. (Yes, pun intended)
I’ve been having some writer’s block lately. And low and behold I come up with a handful of ides for blog posts while I’m in the shower this evening.
I seem to solve household dilemmas and ponder work related stress issues while I have soap in my eyes in shower.

So, does anyone have a waterproof tablet? I don’t think a dry erase board is gonna cut it.
Where do you get your ideas? Where do you do you best ‘thinking’?

OH, by the way. Be very careful when choosing your search terms. You’d be surprised what results are populated for the search term ‘shower’. (Do not attempt this in the presence of children) ![]()

I get most of my best ideas the moment after I lie down to go to sleep. Quite annoying really as I want to be using this time to sleep. It just seems that when I’m awake and things are happening I don’t stop to think. Then at the end of the day when the lights are out, everything is quiet and I’ve stoppped moving, my mind starts to wander.

Whoa, dude.
Way to much information on the creative juices.
Just sayin’
Get one of those cheap toys for kids – where you write and then pull up the plastic sheet and everything is erased. Hang it ABOVE the shower head (so it won’t get too wet) and write on it with the plastic poker-thing when an idea arises (uh, no pun intended).
Seriously. Take it out of the shower with you immediately, transfer the ideas to paper, then the thing is ready for the next shower.
My inspiration comes from music lyrics!

Well, I write mostly based on my experience. If it’s about work, I tweak the facts while still getting my point across. I write a personal journal at home and jot down short notes in my planner when I’m somewhere else anytime I thought of an idea.
Reading books, blogs, and the news sometimes sparks some ideas and I try to connect them with my own experience.
Lately, though, I am too busy to write anything. But my notes have some stuff in it to write about later.
