I recall my wisdom teeth removal with bitter hatred…long painful story, glad to hear (via later posts) that your experieince wasn’t as bad and that you did the nursy thing and stayed ahead of your pain! As a doctor once told me (In a deeeeeeep Southern Accent) “Ain’t no sense in hurtin’!”

I was admitted to the hospital for my wisdom tooth extraction because of my CHD issues. No problem at all with the extraction – they had me sedated, but not completely out. I woke up and the doc was over at the telephone. When I woke up again later, he said the surgery was through and everything went fine. Now if I’d excuse him, he had to go. An emergency call had come in during my operation… someone had been kicked in the face by a COW and they needed him in the hospital across town!

At least you didn’t get kicked by a cow! :)
