This week was a doozy for me. I worked 7 days straight, with my first day off today. I also decided to take a challenge at work. I am transferring out of the PACU as of this week. I start as a nurse in the OR Monday.
It’s a lil outside of my comfort zone, and it will be quite the challenge. Which is why I decided to see what my limits really are as a nurse.
I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of their week!
Oh and just in case you didn’t hear this from me yet:
GO STEELERS!
Carpe Diem

@ NurseExec A very weird sense of irony with our careers. Wow. And no, I stop saying that ‘never’ word.
@ Epijunky Those paintings still amaze me.

Edgar Mueller’s chalk illusions are absolutely incredible! I’ve been a fan of his for a few years now.

We have a lot in common, career-wise. My career path was ICU, PACU, OR. I loved circulating, and probably would have still been doing it if the big hospital I was working at here wasn’t so damn far away (an hour). I just couldn’t take the drive anymore, and decided to go in a completely different direction (long term care). Goes to show–never say never, LOL!
