It’s never a matter of where you are. It’s a question of where you are going.
We always tend to focus on what is behind us instead of in front of us. We have this need to focus on what stops or hinders us, instead of focusing on the intended and wanted goal.
The only difference between setting a goal and accomplishing a goal is where your focus lies.
Are you one to constantly think, feel, act and ‘live’ by what is stopping you? Always finding a reason to rationalize why you haven’t gained that next inch. (No matter what that inch may be)
Or do you focus on the intent. Do you look around the obstacle? Do you weigh in on the options? Or better yet, do you either walk right over or through that obstacle to gain that next inch.
Life and every goal within it is a matter of inches. Each inch is mastered conquered by focusing your intent on that next inch. Near-sighted or Far-sighted, neither one changes how the game will be played.
So the question is, will you keep focusing on what’s going wrong?
Or will you focus on what’s going right?
Carpe Diem
