There is no ‘I’ in Team!..

However, there IS an "I" in ExercIse.

  • I can have the best laid plans.
  • I can have access to the very best equipment.
  • I can be trained , pushed and educated by the most elite fitness professional.
  • I can follow a meal plan counseled by the most educated dietician and/or fitness trainer.
  • I can wear the very best workout clothing.
  • I can have extra time to do complete all that I want, with no time constraints.
  • I can have a body that bends and never breaks.

I can have all this and still fail.

  • It is "I" who must answer the why.
  • It is "I" who must answer to when.
  • It is "I" who must answer to where.
  • It is "I" who must move.
  • It is "I" who must exercise discipline.
  • It is "I" who must be consistent.
  • It is "I" who must sweat.
  • It is "I" who must say no those sweets and other ‘addictions’.
  • It is "I" who has to be honest with myself.
  • It is "I" who must live with whatever lie I tell myself to make myself feel better.
  • It is "I" who is responsible for my achievements.
  • It is "I" who gets ‘bragging rights’.

I see only one person in the mirror, yes me.

In the end, the difference between setting my goal and accomplishing my goal is I, yes me.

Carpe Diem
