Is it just me? Is it the area I live in? Is it the specific parking lot?
I don’t know.
What I do know, is that for some reason many drivers (I’m being kind by not saying ALL drivers) seem to either not notice, or simply ignore the concept of the parking lot demarcation lines.
You know, those lines you are supposed to use as a guide when parking your car? Their realllly big and can be yellow or white.
I believe we were all taught during driving school education that those lil’ lines are there for you to ‘park’ your car within those lines.
These lines also delineate where traffic should and should not be.
The last time I checked, the lines of parking were to be used for PARKING? NOT for driving through and across just because it’s quicker to cut instead of following the general rules of driving! Yes, cutting across the empty portion of the lot may be quicker for you. Heck it may even save you that extra 5 and a half seconds, but seriously! Please don’t cut me off. And please don’t get mad when your shortcut plan doesn’t work and I beat you to the exit?!
I really thought we were supposed to follow the flow of traffic? Not create our own?
GRR.
Am I alone on this?
