Hey! Hey! Tweak Today “Take a picture of something you think nobody else has”

I love this baseball. It’s an item from Successories. A baseball with a motivational saying ” You can’t reach second base by keeping your foot on first.”
Risk Vs. Reward.

To Protect and Serve…?
Posted by Sean on August 21, 2009
I guess we all forgot what professional conduct is? It’s not enough to read about the lack of professionalism in professional sports.. now the police force.
Hmm.
And we wonder why there are so many challenges with our youth and their behavior??

Following The Rules Of The Lot
Posted by Sean on August 18, 2009
Is it just me? Is it the area I live in? Is it the specific parking lot?
I don’t know.
What I do know, is that for some reason many drivers (I’m being kind by not saying ALL drivers) seem to either not notice, or simply ignore the concept of the parking lot demarcation lines.
You know, those lines you are supposed to use as a guide when parking your car? Their realllly big and can be yellow or white.
I believe we were all taught during driving school education that those lil’ lines are there for you to ‘park’ your car within those lines.
These lines also delineate where traffic should and should not be.
The last time I checked, the lines of parking were to be used for PARKING? NOT for driving through and across just because it’s quicker to cut instead of following the general rules of driving! Yes, cutting across the empty portion of the lot may be quicker for you. Heck it may even save you that extra 5 and a half seconds, but seriously! Please don’t cut me off. And please don’t get mad when your shortcut plan doesn’t work and I beat you to the exit?!
I really thought we were supposed to follow the flow of traffic? Not create our own?
GRR.
Am I alone on this?

My Weekly Weak Sense of Humor
Posted by Sean on August 14, 2009
OOOOOOPs.
I mean we professionals are not judgmental. Switzerland… in the Green Zone. Our personal feelings never conflict with our responsibilities.
Right?
Right?
Heh Heh

The View From Afar…
Posted by Sean on August 13, 2009
You’re eyes can play tricks on you.
Ever happened to you ? Well it happened to my wife.. Then it happened to me.
My wife is peering out one of our windows and can’t believe what her eyes are showing her. It was a quiet afternoon on the weekend. She kept talking to herself wondering what could that be?
"Oh my god!"
"OOOO that poor lil thing"
"Where the heck did it come from?"
She wants me to get my phone so she can use the ‘zoom’ function and get a better look at this so-called critter:
"My phone?", I say.
"Yeah, bring me your phone, since we don’t have any binoculars" – "Well how about the Digital Camera? Probably get a better zoom with it"
"OO yeah. OK"
So I walk out and begin the flurry of "What the heck are you talking about" questions.
It seems that my wife thinks she sees a small duck, or some sort of fowl-type animal sitting in our yard. (Keep in mind the closest body of water is MILES away from our house. So the likelihood of a duck or something like it being in our yard is highly unlikely)
So I take a look at it.
….
….
I study it a bit….
Hmm…
Err… uuhh… wholly cow! ![]()
My wife begins to describe in detail the features of this creature sitting on our lawn as I’m gazing at it with and without the camera. It’s a fuzzy view. Viewing it through the picture window. And more than fuzzy viewing it with the Digital Camera.
Hmm…
"I think we’re going to have to call someone? The humane society or something??" "Poor lil’ guy…"
Hmm.. I’m still not convinced. I’m more intrigued than ever. A duck? Really? A Duck? In our yard.
Hmm.. It sure could pass for one…
So I take the initiative to actually step outside and get a closer look. I figured I needed to see for myself what this thing really is. At the very least I’ll risk life and limb to rescue the lil’ fella.
I creep up on him ever so slowly. I’m waiting for this deranged and starving duckling to come wailing at me thinking I’m wanting to catch and trap it.
Crrrrrreep a lil more…
…
A lil more…
What the…..
The wind blows… and the ‘head’ of the so-called duck starts flapping in the wind?
Low and behold the ‘duck’ we thought we were saving was non other than this:
Yes, you would be correct.
That is a crumpled up piece of paper perched nicely on our rocking chair in the house.
We both had quite a laugh from this.
It’s amazing how you can convince yourself and others around you of what you THINK KNOW you are seeing.
Ah.. The exciting life I lead.

I Took The Tour
Posted by Sean on August 10, 2009
I couldn’t wait. I believe I got the BlackBerry Tour the day it was release here in town. I’m loving it. The new Operating System is something to get used to since it the next level up from the system I was used to with my BlackBerry Curve, but well worth the adjustments.
I’ll blog more about it but here’s just a few things I’m likin’ about my new phone:
· Great new graphics screen (I think it sVGA? Or something like that)
· Pictures and the media application program is so much sleeker and works so much better. Picture transition is smooth. You can scroll through your pictures using the rollerball.
· Facebook and Twitterberry application is right on. Great interface.
· The buttons are a lil more difficult to manage due to them not being ‘raised’ and ‘separated’ like the BB Curve.
· Camera has much better zoom features using the rollerball.
· Camera is higher resolution. Better pictures.
· Keyboard lock function is now one button to lock and unlock.
· The internet interface IS.THE.BOMB. If you ever used the BB Storm.. it’s the same effects. No more splicing of web pages (yes that happened all the time with the Curve)
Ok that’s enough for now.
More to come!
