Lloyd Dobler Rules! 20 Years?? Really??

I cannot believe it has been 20 years since “Say Anything”. I don’t know about you.. but I could quote the movie script ver batim! All good stuff.
That was when John Cusack and his sister were in the same movie AS brother and sister!
Ione Skye was hot and a weird sort of way?
And who could forget the song – “Joe Lies”??
The graduation party..
OH and of course his gaggle of friends that were hilarious- which included his real-life friend Jeremy Piven.
Gewd stuff.
They just don’t make’em like they used to.

    Is that the movie with the paper boy after him for 2 dollars? And the scene where he meets his girl friends Father and he asks what he wants to do after school and he has this verbal tirade about, I don't want to buy, sell, manufacture, distribute anything. Now that is a hard one to memorized verbatim.

    No I am truly shocked it has been 20 years. Wow how time flyes.

  • I can't believe I've not seen this movie yet. Despite how everybody seems to love it! Going to have to remedy this situation ASAP.
  • Phil, if you grew up an 80's kid - this movie and his others are a must see. They defined our generation! Everyone could relate to these movies in some way because it depicted exactly what it was like growing up!
    Go rent it! You'll be happy you did.
  • I can't believe it's been 20 years... Love that movie although "Better Off Dead" is still my favorite John Cusak flick.
