Anyone Else Tired Of This Broken-Record Habit Of Successful Icons?

Tiger Woods admits ‘transgressions’ in family life – Yahoo! News.
OK.
So all I want to know is this:
Is it some sort of secret-decoder-like oath that all successful athletes, comedians, comediennes, actors, actresses, public figures, high powered authorities, etc have to ‘CRAP‘ their success down the toilet at some point in their careers?! All at the risk of losing everything – including their family.
Seriously folks. When is enough – enough?
Is anyone else getting tired of this public broken-record.
I for one don’t feel sorry for him in any way. You have a thriving and successful athletic career. You have ‘endorsements’ sticking out of your ears. You have a loving family which includes a beautiful wife and child/children.
What do you do with your one-in-a-million success?
OH- that’s right – you think for some reason you need more, so you step on their necks to move up that ladder you think you need to climb. Oh and for the record -what is being claimed as an apology or admission of guilt was simply a shadow game full of smoke and mirrors. Did he admit or deny anything really?
Shameful. That’s what this is. Shameful.
Grr. OK. Done with my mini-rant.

morally bankrupt. Another lil' nugget I'm saving. Thanks! And I won't argue with you on any of those accounts. Sad really, just sad.

I wonder if Elin is going to “Stand by her man” like Mrs. Spitzer did when the former groper, I mean Gov. of New York got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

The thing that is amazing is that the list of “other women” seems to be growing. I believe it is at 11 now. It does make you shake your head-you have more money than you know what to do with in a lifetime, a wife who is Super-model gorgeous, and by most accounts, seems to be very nice.(when she is not opening up a Swedish can of whoop-ass on her cheating husband) One thing for sure, is that it going to cost him a ton of money to either divorce his wife, or make ammends to the Missus. The one thing that doesn't get talked about in a case like this, is if this does come down to a divorce, it is going to be up to a judge who will decide how and when Tiger can see his kids. In spite of his wealth and fame, it will be up to a judge who makes that determination. I think a lot of men don't think about that when they are looking for another midnight rendez-vous. I think Tiger, like Michael Jordan, has pissed away his well cultivated corporate image and shown what he really is: an athletically gifted, hyper-competitive man who is morally bankrupt.Anybody can stumble once…but 11 times? That's pathological.

Not excusing these types, but it fits the personality profile. These driven, charismatic folks are searching for something. No matter how much success they have on the surface, they need more — excitement, adoration, risk, approval, you name it. It just shows that we are all human, all have issues, and perfection doesn't exist.
