Maybe Being Cheesy Makes Things Easy??

I just read Who Moved My Cheese? I think I read this book wayyy back when I was in management for a certain retail business – whew I can’t believe that was over a decade ago!

I loved the book then, and I still love it now! It delivers such a great message, in such a simple and basic way. It’s almost rudimentary how simple the story is. It’s child-like, but the message is so great.

Change. It’s the ONLY constant thing in our lives.

People and their lives are ruled by this one very important rule. You either embrace the idea, ignore the idea, or fight the idea. Each instance will elicit a different result.

It truly amazes me how the happiness in my life is so reflective of me and my battle with change.

How about you?

Interesting post, Sean…might have to pick this up. Just last night as I was falling asleep, I said to my husband “I feel like we’re on the verge of a huge change, but I’m not sure what it is…” and we talked a little bit about how we’re both kind of stressed over it, too. Ironically, things at work have NOT been changing and thus I’m in a little bit of a rut…although I’m looking forward to some things we discussed in my year review. But it’s just funny that we fight so hard against change…while at the same time feeling frustrating and stagnant when things stay the same too long. :) Or maybe it’s just me…!

I don’t think it’s any of the above. You’re a nurse and when things ‘level out’ you always are looking out for what’s ahead. It’s nothing but a good thing. I think we all need to keep our eyes looking for what’s ahead. Looking for that change. :)
