So, I’ve been toying around with the idea of using and/or attempting to utilize my iPad while on clinicals to enhance or compliment my learning. I’m not sure to what capacity I can use it, but if it’s anything like me using my iPhone, it will be worthwhile. Everything from resource management to note taking. The possibilities are endless.
Up until this week I didn’t think it would be accepted or maybe even frowned upon. Then the attending physician I rounded with at the beginning of the week hauled his own iPad around during rounds and during the course of the day. That sealed the deal for me. If he can do it, so can I!
The next step was finding a suitable cover. One that was slim, light, portable, functional and of course protective. The one I currently own would not do.
As luck would have it, I found a potential candidate while shopping this morning at Wal-Mart. It’s made by Incipio:

It has an elastic strap to keep it closed and secure.

It comes with a stylus pen to use to jot down handwritten notes.

And, it can be propped up in 3 levels of this position as well as a typing position.
I’m excited to try it out this week. I’ll let ya know how it goes.
P.S. I was thinking about this product’s manufacturer, Incipio. I couldn’t figure out why the name seemed so familiar? Then it dawned on me.

I apparently already use some of this company’s product line for my iPhone. LOL
Hmm. I’m seeing a trend here?
