My school journey just might have been worth it

This past semester has been the moment in my graduate school career where I knew I would have to buckle down, pick a direction and follow through with it. I knew by the end of the semester I would be searching for and possibly applying for potential jobs after graduation. The reality of actually searching and applying for a job as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner was a bit overwhelming and surreal.

I decided to reach out to as many professional contacts as possible, and I was leaving no stone unturned.

Over the course of the past 3-6 months the job prospects and job choices always came down to what I would ‘settle’ for. Either the location was inconvenient or too far, the pay scale was offending, the job description was not ideal, or it had no good compensation package.

I couldn’t find that one job that had “all the right moves” for me… until last week.

It had everything! I won’t go into detail, I can only tell you that the package they offered seemed like it was custom made for me. I interviewed for the job last week, and as of yesterday I was offered the position!!

I of course accepted!!!!

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!

And without further ado… here are some obligatory dancing clips:

My man Carlton…

A mashup of all that’s funky..

And finally Kozo and ‘The Thong Song”…

Why yes, I actually did at least a few of these moves. I was that happy.

I cannot put into words how gratified I feel. I’m THIS close to fulfilling my goals.

Now all I have to do is finish the next semester, graduate… and oh yeah. pass my  boards.

No pressure right….
