So this one time…

…while driving through a wintery weather snow storm.

There was so much snow spit out in less than 4 hrs that the plow trucks couldn’t keep up. Or should I say they didn’t even reach some of the more traveled highway roads. As I was driving home from class the semi-trucks (that were flying down the roads like escaped convicts) were ‘plowing’ their way down the road. The snow was so deep and so dangerous that they were kicking up the snow to the other lane inadvertently burying the cars they were passing. The roads were unrecognizable. There were no white lines, no dash marks, no yellow lines. Just a white out. Nothing but snow. Here was the first 40 min of my travel just trying to get out of town.

At one point during my travels while on the interstate, I swerved from one side of the road to the other not having any idea of my awareness and location on the actual road. Fishtailing and ‘skiing’ my way home is not what I would consider ideal or fun. My commute went from 80 minutes to 4+ hrs long.

It was not pretty.

Just glad I made it home without an incident or accident. I lost count how many accidents, stranded and abandoned vehicles I saw along the side of the roads.

Anyone else tired of the winter season?

Bill Cosby said it best, ‘And tired’ always followed ‘sick’.
I am genuinely SICK AND TIRED of this winter and the damn snow.
*sigh*
